Prisco - The Pontardeto Workshop

Il Prisco is the name of our historic village shop, now a delightful tavern and point of sale of typical products from the Venturo group 's agricultural company and from Garfagnana in general.

A classic osteria - trattoria in the tradition of Tuscan catering, where you can enjoy delicious tastings based on typical products, pleasant snacks and afternoon snacks as was once the custom, an old and healthy habit, increasingly appreciated by young locals and tourists.

Tradition fascinates us and the opening of this shop demonstrates it.

History

Starting from the name, the choice could only be " Prisco ", in honor and memory of the owner of the old and useful shop, which from the early 1900s onwards until the 90s was an important local garrison, for the sale of basic necessities for the villagers.

All this until " supermarkets ", at least as we understand them today, were just science fiction... and in a village " shop " that offered everything, you could buy just the essentials, compatible with the family budget.
